Default Door panel mounting clips.

Wondering if anyone might tell me how the retainer clips are held on to the door panel itself? I had to remover the door panel on drivers door to adjust the latching mechanism That's all done and working smoothly. The door had no front clip, and the back one I'm not so sure was holding anything even though it was screwed into the door. I'm going to order some new hardware, but I need to figure out how the clips actually attach to the panel.
I've attached a pic of the parts, but I'm not sure why 2 screws and a washer for each clip. There is an indentation in the foam on the rear, but I still can't understand how it's attached. I've Googled it till I'm blue in the face but nothing. I also looked on the forums here and nothing, at least that I could find.
Sorry the picture is so big!!!
It's a 1977 C3.

There are slots in the backs of the door panels that the clips slide into. The clips then protrude out from the door panel and mount to the door panel to the inner door structure as you indicated, with a screw. The correct screw would be the shorter black one pictured above, not the longer one with the trim washer...I'm not sure why those would even be included....they don't belong to those mounting clips

The clips are located in the lower forward and lower rearward sections of the door panels.

Thank you Orange76L48
The extra screws makes sense. I may have to come up with an attachment method on my own. I have included a couple more pics so you can see what I'm dealing with. There is no place to attach the clips. The picture is of the low rear of the door. As you can see nothing to attach clip to. The other side I doesn't even see an indent in the foam. Any other thoughts, would be appreciated.

Thats easy. Since its on the bottom and you'll never see it just add a new slot right next to the original location and drill new hole to attach. Also you can add extra clips if you have other problem areas of the panel not being flush.

So your saying cut a slot in the foam and slide the clip in and behind the foam?
I apologize. I do't know how they were originally attached.
I think I have it figured out.
Thanks a lot guys!
