79 visor replacement

79 visor replacement
In a impulsive purchase mode I ordered a set of visors for my 79. It would appear I should've researched the project before ordering. Most of the articles I've read say the star clip cannot be reused. Of course I cheated out at that point when ordering. SOOO my question is are these clips special clips or can I try to find a similar clip at a local hardware store? I was hoping to install them Saturday. Also is it necessary to replace the spring?

This is the new visor, it drops toward the mirror. Is this how they’re supposed to be? My original one was in bad shape so I can't compare.
This is my original passenger visor. It looks straight but it’s frozen in this position so again it’s hard to tell. Are the new ones correct?
