Default Power seat conversion question

Will a power seat track from 1981-82 bolt to the floor in the same location as original 1968 seat track locations, or will it need to be modified? Just curious!

Location would be close, but the power seat motor rack would require major floor board surgery for your car.

I was kind of figuring that about the floor, but thought I’d ask, it really wasn’t something that I want to put a tremendous amount of time into lol

I have power seats mounted in my 78 right now, could take pictures of ya want. No modifications other than 2 new holes in my floor pan. I'm actually looking to swap back to original seats though so I can have more head clearance...

If you wouldn’t mind sending me a picture, that would be great. Also, I didn’t think about the headroom, how much would you gain by switching back, I’m only about 5’8” so I’m not sure if it would be a huge difference or not. Thanks

i think the floor pan is different, plus the 68 has a fiberglass floor and the later c3s I think had a steel floor. Not positive about the steel pans

You are correct about the floor pans, which, I think is why Easy Mike said I’d have to do some surgery to the floor
