my very early '76 has metal on the inside and fiberglass on the outside... very weird

I have often seen many C3s' with damaged fiberglass floor boards and wonder what is the correct way of repairing the damage to make it look as original. Repaired floor board pics would great - before and after - if anyone has any - please post.
