Did anyone else notice the Motion Corvette at Carlisle this year? It was being referred to as the Motion Phase III GT Catalog Corvette for a reason which I thought was very honorable of them. It was a beautifully restored car never-the-less and I certainly would have been proud to own it... if I only had room!
They did say this was a built car, meaning it wasn't a Baldwin Motion car ordered and put together by Joel Rosen. It was built from pieces ordered through a catalog. Many car magazines offered the Motion pieces to build your own Baldwin Motion Corvette throughout the 70's and many more of these cars were put together from pieces than were sold through Baldwin Chevrolet.
Generally speaking the only cars that bring big dollars, are the the ones that Joel Rosen built for Baldwin Chevrolet. I thought this car was very well done and I believe they were asking a significant amount for it.
Here's a link to an interesting story on the Last Of 12 GT Corvettes Built By Joel Rosen, a 1971 Baldwin-Motion Corvette
