I have a pair of 82 seats. Can this seat with 82 tracks & all bolt in other years, say 82 to 68? If not what would be required for the swap? I tried to Google for info but didn't really see anything.
The power seat model C-3's have a dropped floor pan to fit the extra power seat stuff if I remember right. Look at them and you'll see the drivers side sits higher on level ground. I put late mdl clamshells in mine that werent power but had the taller tracks so I just replaced w/pass tracks. Might have to lose power if installing in older C-3's
Knowing that the power seat has threaded studs that go THROUGH your floor pan....and the 1982 has a STEEL floor pan. YES...these will be able to be installed BUT you may need to stop adn configure some reinforcement plates to make the area where the seats go for the drivers side stout enough.
AS mentioned the HEIGHT of the seat due to the floor pans beign different may or may not effect them beign put in for you.
IF you still have the factory seats for the 1968..put them side by side and you will see what we are referring to.

Thanks for the info and reply. I have seats for sale and a possible buyer has a 69. He said they will not fit. I don't really know what will interchange. I'm not familiar with the Corvette stuff. This is my first Corvette, just trying to sell off parts. I'm building a Drag Car out of it.

Thanks Again,
Your buyer is right.
The 81-82 driver side seat tracks can can only be used in 81 or 82 Corvettes. The 81-82 has a well in the floor, under the driver's side seat, to accomadate the optional power seat motor and tracks. The floors were the same on all 81-82's, so cars with the standard manual driver side seat adjuster, used taller seat tracks to make up for the deeper floor.
All that being said, he should be able mate his 69 tracks, to the 82 seats.
