Don't even have her yet but I can't wait to show pictures. My first corvette was a c5z, then a c6z then back to a supercharged c5z (which i still have). I have to admit that I was never a fan of the c3 for the longest time. With enough time though, I realized just how beautiful of a car it is. I love the really big sharp edges. Honestly it isn't easy to have those big edges and not look odd at an angle or two over time. They really nailed in on c3. I really love the chrome bumpers, but they were too pricey. Next to that was 80-81 (needs to be a manual). This is what I ended up with. A two-tone 81 with a 4sp. Needs a little love here and there, but overall in amazing shape for a 37 year old car. Things I need to fix.
1. AC doesn't work
2. T-tops leak
3. There is a power draw that should be addressed
4. Small wear spot on driver seat
5. Possible respray on bumpers
6. A few small interior pieces should be replaced.
Looking forward to using the forum as a resource and getting to know everyone

I love those two tone C3's. Sharp looking ride! I came real close to buying one that looked just like that after my divorce was final in 1984. Ended up with a new 84 Z/28 H.O. in Beige with Gold trim.

I love them too. While it doesn't have the same effect as a black, or red, or other color, it has such a 1980's nostalgia that I had to do it. I love it!
Congrats! I just got my first C-3 about a month ago. A '74. It's incredibly clean and needed very little (which I've had done). I just love it. Of course the C-3 is the first car that ever turned my head.
Congratulations! That is a nifty looking car. A 1981 with a 4-speed is super-rare, as you know, and there is likely no C3 more fun. Drive the hell out of it, and post more photos when you can!
