Default Brake Light Help

Hey Guys,

I’ve searched this topic a pretty good amount and think I’m almost there, just need a bit of help to get to the finish line. Brake and hazard lights not working, blinkers and tail lights work fine. Replaced the fuse then got my tester light out and had power to brake switch plug, so I went ahead and replaced the switch. Lights worked for the evening and next morning did not work. Then spent an hour contorting and cursing unplugged the new switch, plugged it back in and lights worked again, for less than an hour. Got my test light again and saw no power to harmonica white wire when brake pedal depressed so went to town to buy a new turn signal switch (by the way OReiley gave me one that doesn’t fit) only to now have no power to the brake switch plug. I think I’m losing my mind, and thinking I’ve got a ground issue. So what’s my next step, take the fuse box out to check connection for plug? Where is the ground for the fuse box?

Forgot to mention, I’ve got power to all my fuses at the fuse panel.

Think I got it fixed today, pulled fuse panel off and found my orange power wire pushed up against the red power to the fuse panel. Seeing that my orange wire had a pretty good indention I’m guessing having these next to each other was not helping my brake lights out. Pulled it off and wrapped up in electric tape and voila brake lights and hazards work now. Now to work on adjusting the t tops.
