Default LH courtesy light

Hey everyone

Does someone have a clear picture of the LH courtesy light with bracket (installed in car)?
I see the RH courtesy light bracket on my 77, but can't find the LH bracket...

It seems that there isn't any bracket for the bigger LH light bulb... Before I took the dash apart the light was just hanging there (orange and white wires)
Or maybe I'm just looking at the wrong place?

The socket is located on the same bracket as the trip reset cable. The bulb goes through the back side. Don't pay attention to the small push button, just playing with an idea.

I think '77 is the same as '78+.

If so, there's no bracket for the lamp like on the right side. instead it fits into a slot in the lower edge of the dash near the headlamp override switch. It's rather difficult to see.

The only thing that I can find (that look like a 'bracket') on the LH is the following:

Is it original?

The bracket your holding is original minus the toggle switch, but is not the courtesy light bracket. The courtesy light bracket was used from 68-77. It is reproduced and sold by some vendors for about $15.00. If you have A/C you will need the #8 speed nut spring clip shown in my photo, it secures the LH A/C duct to bracket. In the bracket, the slotted hole and the other get screwed to the (Standoffs) bosses on the back side of the dash.

Original Group & Part number if you want to go that way, Gr.9.761 GM# 3954281
The 77 Assembly Manual is a good tool and shows these areas very clear.
