front surround 68-72 V 73-74?

front surround 68-72 V 73-74?
while digging around at a local corvette grave yard, i came across 2 oem nos top surrounds. now, they look like 68-72 units. but after doing a google search i found that the 73-74 looks allot like the early ones also. how can i tell the difference between these? the front nose brace looks the same as well as the main headlight support! any help out there please? thanks guys! troy

And the lip in front of the headlights is around an inch on 73-4. 3/8ths inch on 68-72. The front of that lip has a flat lip with bolt holes to mount the glass bumper. The 68-72 has a short vert drop with a curved lip that sits under the bumper.
