Default Problem mounting rear spring to TA

Hi,
I finally got to the point where it was time to link the spring to the TA. The haft shafts, structs, shocks are mounted.
I had no problems with the right side. In the picture I have raised the spring much higher than I had to on the right side.
Shouldn't the bolt be able to just drop in at this point? If I insert the bolt while raising the spring and continue to raise until I can get the bushing, retainer and nut on the upper bushing is pushed off the cup.I did not lower the spring thinking something wad wrong. Any insight would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks

assuming your spring is at a full 90 degress angle to the differential, when the spring bolt is all the way down you cannt get the end into the hole of the spring?

I can raise the spring up to the bolt and then nudge the bolt into the hole. After I get the bushing retainer nut on the upper bushing has been pushed back and off the cup.
Lowering the spring may reseat the bushing but I didn't try it.

Thanks

THIS IS COMMON. Especially when you have new spring bolt bushings.

Put the bolt all the way into the trailing arm. THEN raise the spring and you might need to pull the end of the bolt into the hole for the spring....then raise the spring some more and put the bushing , washer and nut on the bolt.
