Default 75’ Rear Storage Area

Hello all,

My apologies up front, I have ordered my Assembly Manual from Wilcox but the work must go on while I wait for it to arrive!

I pulled the rear quarter panels out of the car in preparation of the seat belt install. While back there I looked up at the underside of the rear deck lid and notice that it was just bare fiberglass. Is there something like a head liner or panel that's supposed to cover the underside? The corners and top side just look unfinished. See pics below and again thanks to you all!!!

No. On coupes, that area was not considered an appearance area so it did not get painted. Convertibles have deck lids and the underside of those were painted because you see the underside when the deck lid was raised.

I appreciate the responses. I’m going to leave well enough alone for now however, I may put some dynomat up there at some point to reduce road noise. I’m also looking out for the nicest and cleanest way to mount some decent speakers back there. I have looked around and there are plenty of solutions. I’ll search here an if no joy then I’ll post a “Show Us Your C3 Rear Speaker Setup” thread.

Regards
Darrin
