TH400 transmission fluid
I just had my transmission completely rebuilt and I need to add about 8 to 10 quarts of fluid. Does anyone have a recommendation on which transmission fluid I should use? This is not a performance car, it's more like a Sunday driver that just needs some good quality and long lasting transmission fluid.

Depends on how often you want to change tranny oil and filter. Since it is freshly rebuilt, I would recommend using a full synthetic fluid, as it won't oxydize, will lube well, and will keep wear to an absolute minimum. If you go with regular tranny fluid, you will need to change it every 3-5 years, just due to 'aging'...regardless of how little you drive it.
