Ever since I put the engine and tranny back in I had a leak in the tranny somewhere. I thought it was a seal or loose connection. I have it back up on jacks and I noticed that the tranny and engine aren't aligned. There is a slight gap also. Here are some pics to see what I'm talking about. Tranny looks more aligned but still not exact. Drive shift is straight.
Any thoughts what to look for? I thought the engine mounts have no adjustments but there is where I might be wrong. First pic is engine.
Look at the mating surface between the engine and trans- if there's a gap there it's a problem. Different oil pan designs on both the engine and trans can make things look odd.
You are not showing us the gap you say you can see.
I agree that if the 6 bolts that hold the transmission to the engine are loose and it can move THAT IS NOT GOOD. If they are tight...then what you are looking at is irrelevant.
No mention of the basic area where you see the fluid leaking also....so it is hard to do any more.
The only thing I see is how someone cut the steel transmission cooler lines and has used hose to join them back together. Not knowing if they bubbled the end of the cut line or not and if the hose is actual ,transmission cooler line hose.. The yellow arrows are pointing to where I would have a concern.
