Default Destroyed my Drivers Side Door

Backed my tractor into my 75 coupe. 2'ball and hitch destroyed the door but did no damage to anything else. What years are interchangeable ? I have access to used doors. Are convertible doors different ? all c3s except 68 should fit ?

Hi Burnt71,
Sorry to hear about your misfortune. There is a difference in C3 doors if you want to be correct. Starting in 1973 GM added a side guard beam in the doors for added passenger safety. Because of this beam the door skin had to be molded to fit over it. Since you have a 75, you could probably use a 73 and later door on your car. Actually you could use an earlier door but it won't be as safe or correct. I've included a few photos to show what the inner beam looks like and what to look for in the door jambs. I'm sure the photos will be above my text, which I don't prefer, but for some odd reason that's how they post. Not 100 % positive but I don't think there's a difference in Coupe or convertible doors other than the jamb hardware.
Tooch
Hope this helps.

Starting in 78, the mounting for the arm rest and door pull are different also. That said, a 73 to 77 door would be the best fit.
