I used to watch some of the 'car shows' a long time ago but stopped watching them due to the drama or crappy stuff that would go on in some of them. American Hot Rod, Overhaulin, West Coat Customs and some others.

After working on Corvettes all day long the last thing I need to do is watch a show about cars when I am trying to decompress. So I really do not know if the formats of these types of shows has changed...but I am more into the nerdy, intellectual stuff where someone shows a modification in great detail without all the drama.

Well the stated idea of roadkill was no planned or staged drama, as low budget as they could get safely, and have fun doing it. Usually with an end goal to achieve. It isnt meant to be like gas monkeys or the fake choppers shows. They pretty well have stuck to it. They do get sponsors that has changed to low budget part depending on the goal. For straight clean garage, no wrenching all talking, then Jay Lenos garage is what your wanting. Its relaxing and intertaining

In Jay's show with stim Allen they talk about a restoration guy. He did another show on a restored 67 and had that guy come on. Theres some real skilled guys out there.

Just rewatched some Engine Masters episodes. the one on porting should be added to the recent thread that got started

Ian is unrivaled. Great show. No fluff.
