Default Removing clock/ console cluster

Hi all,

i am am having trouble removing the center console cluster on my dads '79 (need to repair the clock).

anyone have pics or a how-to?

If you are going to do any significant repair work on a C3 vehicle, you NEED a copy of the Assembly Instruction Manual (A.I.M.) for that model year. End of story....

I believe you need to first remove the 2 screws at the bottom of the gauge cluster (2 tabs) that come from the center console (I also actually remove the 4 screws of center console to allow more play), next remove 2 screws on the sides of the cluster, lastly remove the 2 screws at the top of cluster. You should now be able to wiggle it out.

I agree an AIM really helps, but if you are waiting on it to come, the above instructions should help.
