Default Corvette v2.0

Hi all, looks like I am back in the Corvette game again. I had a '77 but sold due to too many issues from too many heavy handed mechanics ahead of me. I just bought a 1981, 4-speed, 90k miles, white with red interior, t-top, St. Louis car, good tires and a full tank of gas :-) Very nice car, everything works including the A/C. It has a few minor issues, soft brakes, slow windows and sticky electric door locks but nothing too serious. Seat covers are worn but the rest of the interior is nice, carpet is new and it still has the ash tray and cigarette lighter but the radio has been replaced with a fancy digital Bluetooth unit with a speaker box in the back. I believe the paint is original with a few chips here and there and getting thin on the nose and tail pieces but still looks good from 10 feet back. It's been a Texas car it's whole life so no rust issues that I could see. I also haven't been able to see the engine number but it looks all original so I'm hoping it is numbers matching but not a huge deal if it is not. From what I have read this is the last year for a carburetor and the last year the 4-speed was available. I bought it New Years Day and have not had time to do anything with it yet so I don't know if it still has the computer controlled carburetor. I drove it 80 miles home the day I bought it and it ran fine. Steering seems a little vague and my son noticed that the left rear wheel has a lot of camber for some reason so something may be worn out there or it's just out of alignment. Looking forward to having some time to go over the car closer and see what I've gotten myself into this time....lol
