Dannmar two post car lift
I'm getting tired of rolling around on a creeper to work under my Vette (and other cars). Does anyone have the Dannmar MaxJax portable two post hydraulic lift? The upright posts and lifting arms can be disconnected from the concrete floor anchors and wheeled away to be stored so they do not take up space in your garage. Lifting height is less (48 inches) than most other hydraulic lifts, but I can scoot around on my mechanic seat on wheels under the car. Price is under $2K. Anyone have one or have seen one in use?

Quite happy with mine. A couple of suggestions
1) Make sure the floor is adequate, I had to upgrade a section
2) Position the lift so you can lift the car either facing in or facing out
3) Epoxy in the anchors, throw away the expanding type.
4) Best info will be at 'theGarageJournal', a lot more users than just for Corvettes post there and there is a section on this lift in particular. #1450 posts on this lift alone, that should make anyone happy!

Well, I took a look there. Went to the electrical section to read. TONS of incorrect/bad/dangerous advice. Then I went to structural, and found the same bad advice.
I like looking at some layouts and examples, but I would not take any advice there. Too much bad information.

Thanks for the replies. It looks like this will work for me. I have a large 40 x 60 barn where I could install a conventional lift but it also is where I work with my horses, so it would be in the way and I don't think I could convince the horses to sit on it when I trim their hooves.. Plus- most of my tools are in my heated garage. My two car garage is pretty big, but again, I don't want some giant steel obstruction in the way all the time. I think I will mount it dead center in the garage so there is plenty of room on all sides to work and when it is not needed it will be disconnected and stored in the corner. I should have done this years ago.
