Default Help needed :-)

Hey y'all, Got some work on the '74 done this weekend and ran into something I was unsure about.

Fun thing I found.... the rear window sealer tape is completely unstuck on the bottom of the window which is where the water is coming from in the rear of the car. The window bows in with the slightest pressure leaving a giant gap.

Do I need to re-tape the whole window or can I just use the 'CRL Black Windshield and Body Sealant' at the bottom where it came loose?

Thanks

Default Use 5/16 butyl tape

don't do it half assed!!!
1) Remove the entire rear window
2) Clean glass AND CHANNEL thoroughly
3) get the proper butyl tape/ adhesive - C.R. Laurence Co., Inc #
CRL1303
4) Install tape on body, with the start/end seam at the top center
5 Reinstall glass

Understood. Thanks for the encouragement to do it right the first time.... and especially for the tip on where to start the tape.

CRL1303 ordered...

This dash bulb replacement is getting bigger by the day...
