Proper BB engine color
What is the proper color for the 69 427 head area from aluminum intake to chrome valve cover ? I assumed orange but was told today a silver to match intake?!?!?!? Which is correct, all I have found is orange. Thanks...……………………….Bruce

Might sound like a better idea, but is it correct?? Reading the ncrs manual now and nothing about aluminum color , Just that a mask used to paint engine and intake would have some orange on it. 1993 edition, anything different in newer ones?!?!?!

A lot has been learned since 1993. If your attempting to restore your car and get top flight your going to be in trouble. Use Krylon dull aluminum spray paint and dust it on. To go hog wild and make it perfect. Roughly mask and tape I off and make a few quick passes.
