Can someone confirm that when assembling the stock shifter for a C3 Corvette, the "tooth" on the bottom of the shifter handle should be installed into the same slots in the internal levers that are used for the adjustment gauge. If this is not correct, then where is it located? Thanks.
From the bottom picture that looks like the case. I just want to sure because I think I assembled mine incorrectly. If someone else can weigh in that would be great.
The last picture looks like mine, with the "tooth" on the end of the shifter in the front of the shifter levers, not in the adjustment slots. I just want to be sure.
Do you see it in these pics. I think your talking about the nuetral gate, then yes it all should line up and the shifter arm passes through there and selects each rod

I think that’s what I wanted to know. Just to confirm, when you say the “nuetral gate” you are referring to the same slots that are used with the alignment tool. Thanks.
