Since this is the best source of C3 info anywhere, I thought I'd try here first. My 69 convertible has come with a few quirks - I guess that's expected for a 50 year old car. Anyway, my washer pump was next on my to-do
list to get back in working order. However, I'm a bit stumped: it looks like the washer pump is partly there - i.e. the cover is missing.
I may be mistaken, but isn't this my washer pump motor? I see where the 2 bullet connectors attach, but it appears the cover is missing?? Is it possible to get a new cover? I also seem to be missing the blue and yellow wire, although there are other blue and yellow wires nearby that work the wiper motor.
Finally, what is this component here - it has the washer reservoir hose going in one side and another hose going back out..
It looks like an aftermarket washer pump. Those two wires should be connected to the two round posts on the connector for the factory washer pump solenoid. Here is a new cover https://www.paragoncorvette.com/p-35...ump-cover.aspx
So the 1st 2 photos are the original, but the 2nd two (of the blue cylindrical thing) might be an aftermarket pump? Hmm - wouldn't surprise me in the least
knowing some of the other electrical mods made. I guess I could trace the wires back to see where they (the ones on the blue cylindrical aftermarket pump) go
to for more conformation. Thanks for your input!
