ok what started thi problem im putting this 72 vet back together got to where i could start it ran good i have my own wire running to distributer . the temp and fuel guage did not work and i have two grounds and a wire going toback of gauge .one to the sending unit o did not think that was write so went to fuse box with tester light from positive of batter i touch the fuse and the light lights up . are the fuse grounded and it fuse the ground not the hot
The fuse box has contacts going to 12vdc power (switched and unswitched), several accessories (hot on one side, device on other), lights (which will ohms-check as near-ground on the pin that connects to the bulb filament and then goes to ground [bulb filament resistance is very low], and chassis ground.
It sounds like you might be a novice to D.C. electrical circuits. You need to have some knowledge and basic understanding before diving into the fuse box.
