Default Hi and welcome!

Is the wire connected from the door jam to the gauges?

The center terminal on the temperature gauge grounds the center console, it that wire connected?

You have a mechanical oil gauge so ignore these two wires.

The fuse box has contacts going to 12vdc power (switched and unswitched), several accessories (hot on one side, device on other), lights (which will ohms-check as near-ground on the pin that connects to the bulb filament and then goes to ground [bulb filament resistance is very low], and chassis ground.

It sounds like you might be a novice to D.C. electrical circuits. You need to have some knowledge and basic understanding before diving into the fuse box.
