Its going to remain its original Cortez Silver.... They have repaired any body flaws it had and filled in where the luggage rack was mounted and as you can see the early paint stage has finally begun.

I certainly cant argue that thought given I am five months in and you see where things are at... I paid a good portion up front to be sure all the interior parts were ordered timely and we are still not even to that stage..... The last thing I want to do is rush someone I am trusting to do a top notch job with my car. After the paint there is still the seats, door panels, carpet, rag top, hard top and some other things..... I have now put my expectation at Christmas so I am no longer freaking out about the time factor.

Hence the term, "body shop jail".

5 months really isn't bad for paint on a vette honestly. Mine was about 5.5 months, roll in/ roll out. And that was with a lot more body work then we "thought" we needed until it was stripped all the way down. The time went by pretty fast and it was a "show quality" job... I was happy with the outcome and the timeline...however, I paid dearly for it.

Wait til you start paying for chrome and stainless work....

Good luck on everything. Cortez silver is gorgeous.

Thanks and agreed! Getting pretty excited at this point... Even with the interior work to be done I am hoping to be about six weeks out or so....

Got lucky as a 'decent' build sheet was indeed on the tank. This recovered yesterday.

Found and purchased a very nice set of PO2's .. Going to pick up a set of either red line or white line tires (tough time deciding which) and go with that look upon completion of the 'external restoration' the car is receiving. Hoping to have her back in the next couple weeks. Hopefully just in time for some top down driving here in Dallas.
