Ken, I assume the fiber optics won’t work with those since the oem plugs are relocated? I’d love to upgrade my headlights but I want a simple, reliable system. Not messing with HIDs and sorts on this car.

I'll have to see in the spring......I got these for Christmas and haven't installed them yet. They're sitting in my new parts pile waiting till the snow leaves. I'll sacrifice the fiber optics if I have to, but otherwise they appear to be plug and play. I just got tired of not being able to see at night as well as my new vehicles allow.

Hello,
i recently updated mine, they fit in the cubby and they are decent. I did it a couple of months ago so i do not know how long they will last but pretty happy with the results. Did not have to cut the harness just bend a pin on the lights out of the way. the low beam are better than the incandescent but the high are really nice.

I'd also check the DOT. Technically most of the LED headlights are not approved for use on public roads. Will you get stopped, probably not but if there was an incident where the oncoming driver claims he was blinded by your lights ...

The metal backing plate (might be plastic on other bulb housings) can easily be drilled to add fiberoptics. IIRC it's 5/32". The ferrule fits tight- a dab of silicon and its waterproof.

BTW, I've ordered these... Koito headlamp units, which are a couple of large notches better than the Cibies in terms of efficiency (amount of light within the beam), focus (light sent where it ought to be), and sturdiness (build/materials quality). He's also making me a customer relay harness for the car.

I'm working with Daniel Stern right now for my '79. Great communication and products. Explains everything.

Why would this website say these are NOT compatible with a 1968? I coulda sworn 68-82 headlights were the same?
What is with having to bend a pin? That's a bit odd?
