How have you guys installed new engine compartment seals. Thats the one in the front lower radiator support and the ones around the bumper brackets. the car is a 72. I know some have made staples to make it look original. I am think of just gluing them on with weatherstrip adhesive.

I just completed this on my 68. I used the SS staples from Willcox and pre-drilled the holes with a very small bit. Pushed the staple through the seal and the attachment area. I than used a piece of aluminium square stock I had laying around as a buck. I held the buck against the crown of the staple and used a ball peen hammer to bend the staples. I worked great.
I had to make mine (repro wasn't even close to where I managed to get the extensions through the inner fender)
I uses a little bit of adhesive to stick them into the right place and when dry I drilled through the original staple holes and used some stainless wire I got from the hardware store. Stuck it through, pulled tight, bent over and trimmed off. I figure the adhesive will likely hold it but this way it's done and I shouldn't need to think about it again
