Happy Valentine's Day to our Motor Driven Mistresses
She'd be jealous if she looked like this . . .

Exactly! About 6 months after bringing home our first Corvette, a 2005 Victory Red Coupe, my wife said she’d much rather I have a shiney Red Corvette, than a hot young girlfriend. That’s too funny, because she was only 33 years old at the time! She’s not jealous , but she must have priority over any of my cars.

After driving over 3000 miles during one week in my 73 4-speed 3.55 gears with NO luggage rack or AC in June on the Hotrod Power Tour-
My wife to be (only my 2nd and final...) though it was a GREAT idea to get married on the next years Hotrod Power Tour!!!
I figured she was a keeper!!!
She's not jealous at all...
Actually got married on stage-

The 81 was bought for my wife, and was her DD for over 10 years. Still haven't figured out which one costs the most.

My wife has been a fan of Corvettes since she was a kid and helped her brother work on his first car, a 1962 Corvette! She could identify them all up into the late 70's when I first met her. My 76 Vette is the first collector car I have owned that she will actually drive. She likes it but really likes that I have always wanted one and finally got one. She's a great woman and I'm a lucky guy......41 years and counting!

My bride of 34 years is a car girl but I don’t know about her going 3000 miles without A/C.

Well, one thing is for certain - I do spend more time and $$ on my "mistress in the garage" than I do on my wife. My wife is "OK" with that. She said it is better than spending time & coin on a 2 legged "mistress".

Whenever UPS shows up the hot young stripper wife asks "what did the Corvette get now"?

Looks like the hot young stripper wife got the Corvette. Got any pics of her at work?

I've always heard there were three ways to go with a "middle age crisis".
1. Start jogging.
2. Have an affair.
3. Get a sports car.
i sure wasn't going to start jogging, and my wife wouldn't let me have an affair. So that left a sports car, aka Corvette.
Easy decision on my part and she enjoys the corvette too.

Very cool about the Power Tour marriage. We have done the Power Tour a number of times.
I've been married to my high school sweet heart for almost 40 years.
I've been afflicted with the hot rod virus all my life. So I've involved my wife in all my hot rod projects.
Here's a few tips that have worked well for me.
1. What color does she like for the car?
2. Can she help me take the hood off and put it back on with out nicking the new paint?
3. Make sure she is well briefed on the cars details when at a car show so when you walk away for awhile so she can answer car questions.
4. If you do the Power Tour or any road trip make sure bath room breaks are done as needed. No sense on being uncomfortable.
5. Make sure the car is drive able for your wife with no special instructions. What I mean is build a car she can get into and take her girl friends on a ride with no issues. Also comes in handy if you have had a few cold ones and don't want to drive.
6. If you can't afford a hot rod just don't do it. Help your friends. Don't kill your finances just to have a hot rod.
Oh and if you do it right she will bring you fresh chocolate chip cookies and milk out to the shop.
Just my .02
