Default Heater Core Bypass Needed?

Hello,

I do not have a heater core in my car at the moment. I deleted all the AC stuff and need to get a cover and blower, but wont do that for a while.

Do I need to run a short hose from the water pump outlet to the inlet on the intake manifold to bypass the heater core, or can I just plug these?

Do I need that circulation? Any harm in not having this bypass?

Thanks.

Dom

1/2" NPT pipe plugs are fine.

My heater core broke on a different car and I just used a deep well socket that was closed to the inner diameter of the hoses and two clamps for a temporary fix.

Zillions of generators and boat engines have plugs there. No worries.

Absolutely no need for a bypass. Also, they look goofy. I've been running my 77 for ten years with pipe plugs in the manifold and water pump.

Just plug it on a Chevy. The cars had a hot water shut off valve anyway,,

And water is shut off when it is too hot outside to run heat.
