I found this at a swap meet. It's the same size as the 25th anniversary emblem but it's made of this white plastic. Did they use these to make the emblems that went on Corvettes?
I'd say the detail is too good and the corners (especially the inside) are way too sharp for 3d printing, plus it doesn't have the tell-tail sign of the lines left from the printing.
It looks like a resin casting. Someone may have pulled a mold off an original emblem and cast it (no marks on the back) we did stuff like that back in high-school art
Or a company made some (GM would license anything for a $) as part of a plaque or something back in 78
Anyway, pretty neat
