I have been working on my 69 tilt tele trying to get the warning buzzer working correctly. After installing the new warning buzzer switch, wich was missing. It began to work pretty well. I still was having an intermittent problem. The buzzer would still sound after removing the key. Well with a little wiggle and jiggle I could get it to stop ok. I figured the key warning buzzer tab on the cylinder was sticking so I bought a new "concourse" lock set from a well known parts house. Here is my dilemma. I noticed that when I pushed the key into the new lock cylinder the warning buzzer tab does not push out.. Shouldn't the key going in make the tab force down??
Thanks Peterbuilt for the confirmation on that. I kinda figured that cause its the only way it can really work. The new one I got from the parts place just doesn't work right. I will send it back to them tomorrow and wait two weeks for a new one most likely. Hopefully it will function correctly. Thanks again.
