Vintage Air said hook purple wire to ignition switch wire.
A hot wire.
Which wire is recommended. I’m assuming the lone red wire ? But don’t really want the ac coming on at same time I crank engine.
This is new “LectricLimited “ dash harness.

There is only one purple wire and it is the smaller 16 gauge. The other wire is purple/white and other is pink.The purple is in the black connector with the red wire

thought connectors were vintage air and were distinguishing
use a meter or test light and look for the one with 12 volts when key turned on
use test light and find which switch is hot when key is in the run positron not the crank position.
They dont have a dedicated wire for run only so will be shared run and acc position hot wire
Haaa but the steering column is out so will have to be a contortionist and do after all the rest is installed.
its interesting that neither vintage air techs nor LectricLimited techs know which wire is the “run hot wire “. So will be last thing I connect after all is put back together so can put test light on it. All else has basicly been plug and play.
