Default Headlight actuator clevis removal

Hi, I am following the Corvette magazine be procedure for actuator rebuild and I was wondering if there was any tricks to getting the clevis pin out. I can't seem to budge the ones on my '80. Ami doing it wrong or do I just need more oil and elbow grease?

Shouldn’t take anything special. There is a plastic bushing in there or at least there should be. Maybe apply a little heat?

It will only come out in one direction. There's a cotter pin on one side and a flange on the other.

Soak with PB Blaster or Kroil penetrating solvent and turn counter clock wise with a long screw driver. If the Actuator is toast then grip the actuator shaft with vise grips and turn clevis counter clock wise. This is what I had to do. I reinstalled clevis on new actuator using anti seize. Disregard vise grips if your actuators are still holding vacuum. You maybe able to use a vise with soft jaws for actuator shaft in that case. Soaking them really helps they have been on there a long time.
