C2 of Year Finalist (appearance mods) 2019

Default C3 horn button

Dose the horn button on a 72 tilt tele column just pull straight off or dose it twist first?

Be careful, mine was on pretty tight. I used a nylon trim remover stick to gently pry the ring off. Good luck, go slow.

No twist required..... Just push the tips of 2 or 3 [adjacent] fingers in the gap behind the button and pull straight out. Don't yank it...just give it constantly increasing force until it pops off. If it won't pop off with some amount of comfort, get the plastic trip tool to pry it off.
