Hello all , I have a 73 C3 I have been working on , the car has been very trusty over the years , but after rebuilding the front suspension , and putting the battery on a slow charge , I put in the key and nothing , I go through the usual things checking the cables for corrosion and such , still no power , I then checked and cleaned the frame ground still no power , my next line of thought is possibly the ignition switch on the column all battery cables are clean and tight has anyone had this happen ??? any help would be appreciated .

I suggest taking your battery out and go get it load tested at your local parts place.... mine does it for free. Even charges the battery for for free first --- if it needs it.

Got a brand new battery and still nothing , I still have the factory cable ends on , I may cut them off and put on some aftermarket ones and see what happens .

Test the fusible link on the RED wire near the starter.
If good check the one at the horn relay.

Big thanks to C3 Stroker and everyone for the leads on what to do about the no power problem , after checking everything the problem was the fusebox wasnt getting any power , I checked the connection from the wiring harness to the fusebox , pushing it in to make sure the connection was tight , slid from underneath the car hit the key and it started ! , checked the wiring and no wires were broken or frayed. Now I can put the wheels on and get it off the jackstands . What transmission are you guys using I currently have the 350 automatic , I am starting to research overdrive transmissions , as it is next on the list of things I want to do to upgrade the car a bit . If anyone is running a 5.7 with a 350 transmission and have done a transmission upgrade which transmission did you use ? Big thanks again to everyone for their leads and tips !
