Corvette History guy
Years ago, I paid a guy a small fee to track the history of my C-2.
He did a great job and gave me a report showing the chain of ownership all the way back to the original dealer.
I’ve lost his name and contact info. Does anyone here have it?

Bill Gould or David Reisner? Neither is active in searching histories any longer.

Hmmm?
I wonder what services he used?
I would like to find someone to do this as well.

I'm gonna keep an eye on this thread.
I believe I have documentation of the complete ownership history (I'm the 5th owner) on the 1970 I recently purchased, dating back to the original owner.
Prior to purchase I was informed that the second owner was (and still is) a celebrity, and I have documentation of his ownership and his actual license plate.
I have since learned when researching the prior owners, that the original owner (as per the Protect-O-Plate) may be a prominent historical figure, or perhaps just shares the same name. I am trying to confirm 100%, but it has proven to be challenging. An experienced researcher might be more successful.

LOL! Great Seinfeld episode!
Coincidently, Jon Voight called my friend who owns a moving company last year to move his aunt into an assisted living facility. When he identified himself as Jon Voight, my friend thinking he was being pranked, hung up on him. He called back three times and bottom line, he flew into NY to help his aunt and passed out $100 tips to all my friend's employees. My pal said he was a good guy and acted just like his character Mickey Donovan.
As for the second owner of my car, it was Rock and Roll Hall of Fame drummer Tico Torres from Bon Jovi, and I believe he did the restoration. I suppose it would make for a funnier story if it had been Jon Voight.
As for the historical figure, before mentioning, I'd prefer to wait until I'm certain it was really him and not just someone with the same name.
