Nothing fancy. I just want to be able to cruise to Dallas and back and down to the Gulf Coast and enjoy!

498ish Skip white stroker kit. Block was magged, deburred, I notched the tops of the cylinders using the head gasket as a guide and installed ARP main studs. Lunati solid flat tappet with direct oiling lifters. ProComp heads have Lunati dual springs and 10degree locks/retainers that go with the cam. Comp Cams roller tip rockers withadjustable guide plates. All critical fasteners are ARP. I did some mild cleanup in the bowl area and gasket matched the heads and intake. Holley 850 DP I rebuilt. The engine just runs great. It is very responsive and pulls like mad. I need to get a wide band so I can get the carb close. So far, I am very happy

This is a recent purchase 71 LT-1 as first found
Then after an initial clean up
The plan is to pull it later this year so it can be painted as original. I've sourced a date correct carb, full smog system and some other missing items

Hey Robert!
Your '70 is always clean enough to eat off of!
I'll need to come by and show off the new ride once the doctor gives me the OK to start driving again. Probably another week out at the earliest. Wasting time watching a lot of TV and of course CF!

The before, a mosquito killing boat anchor ... it found its way to a local high school, non numbers anyway.
The new, a 1970 block non numbers but I suspect it will get the job done, firing very soon.
