The only view I have right now.Oil was pouring out of the pan seal and it got replaced in the driveway..I did confirm that it is a truck engine that came out of a C50 from 1969.

Today it's my baby's 50th birthday. Built date 11/21/69. She's in the process of getting a new ls3 crate engine. Almost there.

How do you compensate the cut in the radiator support? I'm thinking about going this way.

My mechanic install a short radiator with the intention of cutting the radiator support. He build a metal housing that he welded to the radiator support. He said the radiator support is structural, that's why he build a metal housing. He said the LS engine needs cool air rather than the hot engine air to keep the tune right. My mechanic was a GM mechanic for 30 yrs before he went out on his own. I just trust him. Sorry I don't have a picture of the housing. Next time I go to the shop I'll take one. It may be a couple of weeks.
