Default Jegs....

I want to begin by saying I'm not here to bash Jegs but I would like to know if anyone else here ever has the same issues I seem to have. I order lots of parts for different cars and the issue I consistently have with Jegs is shipping dates. I order an item with a projected shipping date and look for tracking on that date but the tracking is never provided to me on the shipping date. I then call the Jegs customers service hotline only to find out the supplier has moved the shipping date weeks out from the original posted shipping date I was provided upon ordering the needed parts. The staff are always really nice and I like to spread my business around but I would like a more accurate shipping date at the time of purchase and not be reeled in and then find out later I have to wait an extra 3 or more weeks. Again, is it just me and my bad luck?

I've always had good dealings with both Jegs and Summit, never a problem. I will admit that I haven't used them in awhile, you can only put so much "stuff" on your car .

Had an issue or two with both but were easily resolved. Overall happy with both but sometimes a volume supplier runs into problems (miss smaller speed shops even if it costs more)
To their credit I got a bad set of Weld Wheels....then a funky set of M/T they were on the spot with return & getting me good stuff.

I've used Jeg's and Summit a lot. I always ask them to double check the ship date if it isn't tomorrow. I've had both be real upfront and tell me the ship date listed is provided by their supplier. It's my decision to order or not.

I've had a few parts backordered, but I've never had a project held up, and they were upfront with the ship dates. When my Borgeson unit came with a bad set of hoses, they expedited a replacement hose set. If I absolutely, positively need it in two days, I'll order from Zip (right down the street) or Amazon. Jegs is usually 4 days for me.

I shop with Summit over Jegs simply because their website is better and easier to navigate. I cant find anything on Jegs.

If I by from Ebay and it comes from Jegs I dont have a problem with them.

I have 2 speed shops near me, the closest is 25 min, the other is 45 min. And of course the 45 min one says they are about 10 to 15 % higher than online but can get it the next day no up charge. I'm going to try and start shopping with the speed shops to keep them around.
