I had a guy follow me across town into a parking lot and made me a solid offer.
I still have it.

You can never pay too much. However you can buy too early.

More importantly. Why is there not photo documentation of said Viper loving entertainment industry professional?

Change your rear over to 4.11 or so, that should help.

I guess you could count me as being on the other end of the spectrum regarding the OP's experience. Although I've had inquiries about selling, I've never entertained any meaningful dialog on the subject. When I purchased my car, it was because I wanted an early 70's C3 ragtop, it was not as a means to flip & make a profit. Coming up on 20 years of owning & enjoying this car, nothing has changed. My wife & I still enjoy this car immensely (well, me more than her LOL). The thing is now, it's done. It looks great, runs great, it's pure enjoyment. Would it be nice to have an LT-1? Sure. But that would still come with additional expense regardless of what amount I sold mine for, plus something else would still come up short compared to what I currently have. Selling for the sake of selling just doesn't work for me.

To the OP, congratulations on your sale. Glad to hear it worked out to your liking. It looks like someone got a beautiful car.
