Proximity detectors for C3
One thing i’d Like to add to my 71 is proximity detectors somewhere in the front of the car. I think they could be tucked in the grills of the front bumper without being real obvious or ugly. I’m more concerned with the front as there is a huge blind spot when the nose slopes down. Has anyone ever tried incorporating parking sensors?

have never thought about doing it but it would be fairly easy to place a couple of sensors in the 71’s front grills or under the number plate. They would be fairly well hidden and not show unless you really looked closely.
I am sure a search of ebay would find a cheap kit to experiment with.
Wiring it up would be easy with an audible signal in the cabin.
Same here: Our family vehicle is now a car which has the sloping hood making it difficult to judge how close the nose is to an object.
It has distance sensors, but I know I will need them on the Vette, as I am getting closer to having it driveable.
(A front bumper camera might be nice....and freaky at the same time)

I added one when I did my backup camera but I pointed it down so I can watch the curb vs front spoiler when I finally get around to installing it (the spoiler) not that I expect to use it, more of a "while I'm in here" thing.
The rear cam is nice as I've gotten use to using it with mirrors on the DD. Again, certainly not a necessity but kind of neat
I've got all the sensors for a parking sonar thing but they're all in a box waiting to come to the top of the to-do list

HA, I had the same idea 2 years ago. I bought a kit but have yet to install it.
I came dangerously close to my garage wall one day, scared the crap out of me
