I have been working on the alarm for my 72 Vette. The alarm appears to work as with the key lock on the passenger open the horn will honk (although a weak horn and probably needs replaced). My driver door open the alarm did not sound. Discovered the switch was bad so I ordered a new switch. Got to the switch wiring through the access panel. Cut off old connectors on the blue, white and black wires and installed new connectors. When inserting the connectors into the new switch doe it matter which slot they go in?
I've had mine apart a couple times. I don't think it matters as long as all 3 connectors make contact when you depress the switch - sorry, when the switch is not depressed.

Thank you for the reply. I didn't think there was any certain slot but I wanted to verify. Also the connectors have a hook at the end to hold the wires in place. Which way should the hook go? Facing in or facing out?
It is the switch located on back of the door jamb. I used my test light and with alarm key on it has power to the blue wire. With the alarm of and the ignition on there is power to the white wire which should be the door ajar.

Reason: Just wanted to add additiional information
use an air compressor and blow out the horn from the mouth. They can get full of dirt and bugs.
Thanks for all of the responses. Alarm horn does not work so I need to replacement horn and it appears that no one is making a replica horn. For those of you who replaced the factory alarm horn what horn do you recommend as a replacement.
