Default 1975 deck lid gap

I have a 75 conv. And there seems to be a gap on the corner of the deck lid preventing the weather strip to seal . My question is anyone here know if these deck lids can be adjusted or what can be done to fix this problem. The gap is about a 1/4" inch

My guess is your deck lid has been removed and reinstalled in the past. If there are shims between the deck lid and the hinges, remove them.

There are no shims on the deck lid and hinges , but i cant seem to see the hinges where they connect to the car, is it possible it would need adjustment from where the back of the hinges connect?
Thanks

You are probably gonna have to remove a seat so you can lie on your back under the deck to get an idea what has to be adjusted which way. And have room to work more comfortably. Shims on the deck lid side will raise the lid. Shims on the body side of the hinge will lower the hinge and the lid.
