Last year I made a post about how I acquired this Corvette from my grandpa. I never got around to starting due to the other Corvettes I own.
Well that project starts now!
Wish me luck!
Also unable to show you the motor due the hood release mechanism being broken if there's away to open the hood to get pictures I'd love to know about it.
Is the duck tail custom or is this stick for the car? The GTO wheel is from my dad's 1978 Pontiac
OMG. I just realized I am someone's grandfather and someday he might inherit my '78. I better start writing things down about what I did, why I did it, and why I would never do it again!!! Good luck on your project, do a search for opeing a stuck hood. And this is the right place to come to for answers.
As you know it left the factory as a Pace Car in April 78. Also the engine block was a L48. Once you get the hood open you can tell by the stamp pad if the block is original unfortunately so much has been done to the car it will be hard to discover what he did to the engine. As stated a search will provide a lot of hits and you can see how it works with this youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4Bh...ature=youtu.be
It apparently has a brand new 350 cu in v8 in it also when my grandpa got it it was blue in color before blue it was red before red it was the pace car paint. I'll see if I can get the hood open for yeah so we can if its original or not.
Cool-I love the Z06 wheels, maybe you could detail how those are on the car. Spacers? Adapters? I'm interested in knowing. Thanks and good luck with the car.
