Default Fresh Air Vent Lever/Control Cable

1973 Corvette - No AC
The fresh air lever on the drivers side has broken from junction of the air vent control cable to the base of the lever. (Pretty sure the peg is broken on the lever itself.) I have disassembled the shifter console and the gauge console but due to an aftermarket radio install, I cannot figure out how to get to the slotted, cross threaded screws at the base of the stereo and top of the shifter console. Ideas? Tool?

Secondly, I have not been able to locate the bracket that the lever is attached to, that the heater control is mounted to, in order to replace the lever. Any ideas of where to find this? Or any other helpful solutions would be appreciated.

You can reach the nuts for the lower dash bezel to the shifter console horseshoe bracket with a swivel and small extension on a tiny ratchet.

The heater control bracket can be found at this link on eBay.... I'm out of them used and now I see why, I was about 1/2 price of what they are bringing. But anyway, here is a good link to one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Corvette-OE...4AAOSwshVctPv8
