Default Question, is this normal? Looking at another c3

Noticed this in the area near the trim tag. Thank you for the help!

That's not unusual for the factory seam sealer. But, you can't really tell what's behind that stuff. If you have no reason to suspect birdcage (window frame) rot, just let it be. Is the right side in similar condition?

Looks pretty "St Louis" to me!

In my 69 the headlight squirters are on top of the lights on one side and UNDER the lights on the other!

Thank you everyone! After reading about birdcage rust I’m questioning everything. Hope for fun news tomorrow!

I was wondering exactly the same thing, my 71 looks just like that, ugly as anything. I thought someone had attacked it with filler in the past, has anyone figured a way to make it look a bit nicer? I'd hate to spend thousands on a paint job and have door shuts looking like that.

In years gone by, my wife owned two C-3s, both purchased brand new, and both looked like that.....

Nah....just couldn't drink THAT much beer at lunch!

To Dazaa...if you don't care for NCRS originality.....buy a Dremel and go at it!

Always reminded me that the car is basically a gigantic Revell model (Airfix, Monogram what-have-you).

The poor guy gluing the fenders on, probably had like 44 seconds a side to do his job!

The 82 CE I have is nicer...but still 'iffy'.

My 69 looks like that. I'm afraid if I touch it I'll make it uglier!
