Default Need Help/ Front Grill Questions

So here I am...10 years later, and I didn't good pic of the front as I disassembled it.
  1. I am assuming that the thing hanging down on the right side of the first pic (with amber nipple) is supposed to plug into the round rubber piece on the top of the light housing. Is this assumption correct? Also note the round black rubber piece laying next to the assembly on the right hand side, this piece actually fits around the amber nipple, and doesn't allow me to plug it into the top of the light housing. The second pic shows the round rubber piece on the amber nipple.
  2. My second question is, what does the left side of the grill assembly bolt to?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I do, and I figured out that it bolts to the bracket on the bumper. But the optic fiber deal still has me confused.

You are correct about the amber piece plugging into the top of the assembly.

The black cylinder piece,(should be spongy), mounts to the fiber optic lead on the headlight harness plug. You'll see where it seals the back of the HL to fiberoptic connector to transfer light better. Assuming you have a 70.

These are the brackets to mount that inner screw . Looking for a diagram of where they attach

I'm hoping to remount the bumper tomorrow, and finally get the front end finished. I'll post some pics when done.

That small black thing in the pic I uploaded was around the F/O amber light receiver, and it will not plug into the nipple on the housing with it in place. I don't know, could be some bubba type thing. it isn't a seal like dennis posted.
