Default What am I missing

I have these two items but I’m not sure what I’m missing in order to completely change all the window felt/seals etc. I saw a 6 piece kit at Zip but which 4 pieces am I missing.

When I installed the outer whiskers/felt strips some of the insert-clips did not line up with original ones. I used my trusty Dremel to elongate a few of the existing slots so the new clips would fit. You have to be very careful and run the Dremel at a very slow speed, since you are cutting fiberglass. I was never sure why the new whisker slots never lined up with the OEM ones.

is it just the door seal/sweep things that hold the window in place? right now ive removed the old ones because they were all rotten and broken so the car has no seals or felts in the window sill and i can move the glass back and forth with my finger. I dont want it to shatter if i slam the door or something. Any help?

Maybe that is why the '69 has the felt anti-rattle pads....it's an improvement from '68.

This is what my window sills look like now. There’s nothing there. The windows move back and forth quite a bit. And they don’t line up with the pillars either. Do the windows need more adjusting or is it because I don’t have anything in the sills?

the two photos are from how the car was when I bought it. Now there’s pretty much nothing there.

As stated earlier, your car should have two anti-rattle cushions on each window that keep the glass from rattling. I checked and they are for 68- 82, cars. I remember the ones I purchased had a note that they used a Metric Wrench. Sorta odd, that your car doesn’t have them, mine were there, only the felt/wipers had worn off. I recall there is a bolt and nut that goes through the top of the door frame. It wasn’t as bad as the wipes that had holes that didn’t align with the old ones.

Do you have a link to the cushions? All the ones I’ve seen are for 69 and up. The little square looking ones.

I looked in the Paragon Catalog, part number is 11509K, did you look in the AIM for 1968 cars?
