I was going to contact the seller about the high price, but then came the story that it is 1 of 6 factory built.. Never heard or read about such, guessing not GM factory.
Bet plenty of limo companies did this....I dont care how rare something is, doesnt mean desirable or in demand.
Different family hauler perhaps but not for that $lol. watch some sucker pay it
Truthfully it is quite rare. There may be no more than 10 of these in existence. With 1.5M Corvettes out there, its rare. Fact.
It is not a factory built car, so as a Corvette for collectability it gets low marks. Its not a modification that brings out what corvettes were born to do so its kind of what many would see as an abomination.
However some may think its cool, so that's why they pop up from time to time.
The 4 door Corvette America was built by California Custom Coach in Pasadena CA .
Supposedly between 4 and 6 built, all of them either 79’s or 80’s
According to Super Chevy (March ‘01),-
"After five personalized production vehicles were built, however, the project was scrapped due to the exorbitant cost: While a standard, new 1979 Corvette cost roughly $13,000, these four-doors stickered at about $35,000."
Well, if I bought one of those limos I'd have to spend another $10k extending my garage and driveway.
And a limo is supposed to be roomy, those all look cramped.
Nope, not for me!

Not a snow ball's chance in hell this car was ever going into production. You don't *** with America's only true sports car. Just my opinion of course.
