It has been a while since I last updated my progress. I have been busy finishing the chassis and drivetrain. I but the body back on the chassis and turned my focus on the body. I made several little repairs and got the car in primer. After sanding and applying sealer I shot color for the first time. I'm trying to keep it in the vain of factory but it won't be NCRS. Here's a couple pictures. This is my 68 frame. It was pretty rusty. I had it sand blasted locally. I made a couple welded repairs and applied Eastwoods internal rust proofing and primed and painted the frame with Eastwoods extreme chassis satin black. Looks can be deceiving. It would held to see pictures of your frame.
I painted my car similar in my garage. I put down plastic to save my floors from overspray, but after the first round of clear it got really tacky and my shoes would pull it up. It ticked me off and felt it was gonna pop dirt everytime my shoes stuck to it, or pick up a draft under it and fling it onto the car. I put down some wood boards to walk around so my sticky shoes couldnt lift them lol

I noticed the same about floors when I sprayed the primmer. I was only wearing socks, went through 4 pair. However I am only shooting color on all the hidden areas like the under side of the hood, door jambs, underside of the deck lid. Things like that. I did arrange a paint booth that I will be using for the spraying of the body.

Can you tell me what black paint & sheen you used for under the hood?

I used a PPG product . It's called Ditzler Hot Rod Black. The sheen is very nice in person. I used it in all the blacked out areas. I am using all PPG products. The Hot Rod Black comes in a kit. Quart of color and a pint of catalist. I played $105.00 for the kit.

In your original post, you mentioned that you used the Eastwood chassis paint but said that looks could be deceiving. Was that related to the prior rust or quality of the Eastwood paint? thanks for the clarification/

Not quite sure what that deceiving comment was referring to but I was very happy with the Eastwood Extreme Chassis Black. I also used their internal rust proofing.
